As part of its commitment, Deutsche Telekom set up Deutsche Telekom Stiftung in Bonn in December 2003. With an endowment of € 150 million, it is one of Germany's largest corporate foundations. Deutsche Telekom Stiftung supports the company's mission and vision and is doing its part to help develop and shape today's interconnected knowledge- and information-based society at the national and international level. Through its active commitment to education, the foundation is helping to strengthen the German economy so the country can retain or regain a top position in education, science, research and technology. In 2008, approximately € 10 million was spent on program work.
